Give to the Fort Lauderdale Seventh-Day Adventist Church with Zelle:

  • Zelle is a way to send money quickly and conveniently
  • It is a service owned by Bank of America, BB&T, Capital One, JP Morgan Chase, PNC Bank, US Bank, Citibank, and Wells Fargo Bank
  • You could use either the Zelle app or your bank’s app or website (if your bank is a participating bank) to initiate a transfer
  • Zelle is supported by over 200 participating banks and credit unions, and the list is growing rapidly
  • If your bank is not a participating bank, you could still send funds using the Zelle app
  • Zelle charges no fee to use the service (however, verify with your bank whether or not they charge a fee to use Zelle)
  • Enrolling to use the service:
    • Install the Zelle app on your phone or use your bank’s app or website (the Zelle app could be downloaded from Play Store or App Store)
    • You would need a MasterCard or Visa debit card that is linked to your bank account
    • If you enroll using the Zelle app:
      • When prompted to “Find your bank”, start typing the name of your bank until it appears in the results window
      • If your bank’s name does not appear, enter your email address and bank information when prompted; a confirmation code will be sent to your email address; enter the confirmation code
      • Enter your debit card number and your name and address when prompted
      • Attach a photo of your debit card and submit
    • Note that if your bank is a participating bank the enrollment process is much simpler:
      • you do not have to use the Zelle app
      • just locate Zelle in your bank’s app or website and select the option to register with Zelle
  • Sending funds:
    • Use the app or website to initiate the transfer, with the recipient’s email address or phone number as the destination
    • The funds transfer from your linked bank account to the recipient’s bank account
    • If the recipient is already enrolled with Zelle, the funds appear in their account in minutes and the transfer cannot be cancelled
    • If the recipient is not already enrolled, Zelle invites the recipient to enroll and transfers the funds upon enrollment; cancellations are allowed prior to enrollment of the recipient
  • Sending limits:
    • Limits vary by institution; for example, Wells Fargo limits transfer amounts to $2,500 per day, and a maximum of $4,000 in any 30-day period
